Hotels

We are pleased to announce that TFW2012 has negotiated reduced rates for attendees at the Hilton Garden Inn hotel. The HGI is our host hotel and we invite you to stay with them. When the HGI is sold out, we may negotiate with another hotel. The HGI will be on our shuttle van route to and from the convention center. As with previous years, please do NOT call the hotel in order to try and book a reduced rate room. When you register for the event, you will receive hotel discount code as part of your ticket confirmation.

Hilton Garden Inn Edison/Raritan Center

Rate: $99/night + tax

Rooms include one king or two queen beds, chair with ottoman, large work desk, two phones, each with two lines, data port and voicemail, refrigerator, microwave coffeemaker, iron and ironing board and complimentary wireless and wired high-speed internet access. In room pay per view movies. Some rooms have double/queen sofa beds. Boxes can be shipped to the hotel prior to arrival and stored at no expense. Once the guest checks in the boxes can be delivered to the guestroom or can be picked up from the storage area. The Hotel will not shuttle anyone to and from the Expo Center on Wednesday or Thursday. On Thursday, the hotel’s shuttle will be available for any Hilton Garden Inn guests needing transportation to and from the Metropark train station only. The hotel shuttle will only be available during posted times on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Meals

• The Hilton Garden Inn will offer (see the hotel for pricing) a breakfast buffet, available to any TFW2012 registrant, on Friday and Monday from 6:30-10am, and on Saturday and Sunday from 7-11am.
• There will be a lunch break on Friday 1-2pm, Saturday and Sunday from 12:30-2pm. No classes or special events will be held during this time. The vending area will remain open.
• There will be a dinner break on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 5-7pm. No classes will be held during this time. The vending area will remain open until 7pm.
• Concessions will be available at the NY Expo and Convention Center on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 9am-3pm.

Travel Options

Public Transportation

• Airport — Newark International (EWR) is the closest airport. Take the free airport monorail located inside every terminal to the NJ Transit train stop and follow the directions below. You will be traveling southbound towards Trenton.
• Train — NJ Transit — Take a train on the Northeast Corridor line and get off at Metuchen. Tickets are available at ticketing machines in each station. The ticketing machines accept credit/debit cards or cash. Both the Hilton Garden Inn and the Sheraton will pick up their own guests from the Metuchen train station.
• Train — Amtrak — Metropark is the closest Amtrak station to the convention center and hotels. Both the Hilton Garden Inn and the Sheraton will pick up their own guests from the Metropark train station.

Driving & Parking

Please note that the weekend travel rush in New Jersey during the summer begins around noon on Friday and includes all of Sunday. It will frequently take three to seven times longer to travel than estimates provided by Google or GPS. New Jersey and greater New York City are famous for their summer-weekend-get-away traffic jams and congestion.

There is plenty of free parking both at the hotels and at the NJ Expo and Convention Center. The convention center also has free parking available for large trucks, trailers and RVs, but there are no hook-ups available.
